Stephen Wandeto is the Founder of Wandeto and Co Advocates. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is currently pursuing his LLM degree from the University of Nairobi specializing in International Trade and Investment Law. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a mediator. He has also taken courses in Certified Security and Investments Analysis. Wandeto is passionate about providing timely and quality legal services that helps clients mitigate or minimize risk and exposure.
Wandeto has previously worked in two leading mid-sized law firms in Nairobi where he rose to head the Dispute Resolution departments and at the Kenya Human Rights Commission where he mediated disputes between employers and employees who could not afford legal fees and managed the Legal Aid department.
He has vast experience in commercial law practice with specific emphasis in Labour law. To this end he has expertise in drafting and negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements, conducting labour law audit, drafting and negotiating Human Resource Policies, mediating labour disputes, representing clients in conciliation and arbitration proceeding and litigating at the industrial court.
Wandeto has written widely for the Management Magazine, Business Daily and the Law society of Kenya in the wider area of Business Law. Stephen has a passion in mentoring students in primary and secondary schools to find their purpose and calling.
